Donna
Beckham Ready To Shine
New Album, Nashville Experience
Have Texas Singer-Songwriter On The Verge
By Luke Gilliam
The spotlight naturally finds some musicians. Donna Beckham got tired of
waiting. The blonde-hair, big-voice singer-songwriter from West, Texas, has
returned to her home state after a year in Nashville recording her self-titled
debut album. She's ready to hit the road to promote an album that showcases her
tremendous vocal talents and straight shooting, to-thine-own-self-be-true
songwriting.
The album, which was produced by Dan Drilling, is rooted in small-town life,
tight-knit family, all kinds of love and strong story telling. The album covers
the gamut: from the simple life in "Fake Diamonds," to striking out on your own,
"Texas Star," to a cheating song, "Lying Next Next to You," to easy loving, "You
Screwed Up My Love Song," to good loving, "Love You Well," and the trials and
tribulations of being a woman, "Wonder Woman", "Mother Nature" and "Wonder Bra
Blues."
She played every singer-songwriter show she could find. Donna wrapped an album
that had been a year and a half in the making with the help of veteran Nashville
producer Dan Drilling and songwriting mentor Joyce Marek.
"No regrets," Donna said. "If you are a lover of
country music, what little girl or boy doesn't dream of going to Nashville."

Meet Panda Production's latest featured artist Melissa Cleveland |
|

Melissa Cleveland, singer from Houston, Texas has just released her Country/Rock CD, When You Say My Name. “On my first CD I co-wrote four of the songs because I do have a passion for writing as well as singing.” This time around Melissa decided to try something new and she is very pleased with her decision to record 12 songs that were written by exceptionally talented songwriters. The first track, “It’s All About Me” was presented to Melissa during the process of tracking songs that she had already chosen to record and songs that she definitely made a connection with. “This is a firecracker of a song and the production just blew me away.” The collection of songs are very diverse and no two sound alike. Track #12, “Tell Jesus Hi” (He’s Gone) is a song that honors fallen soldiers and their families, it will pull at your heart strings. The entire project was overseen by Dan Drilling of Panda Productions and Produced by Brandon L. Shane. “I have been singing for many years and paying my dues, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Music is my passion in life and I couldn’t imagine a day without singing. Working with Dan and Brandon was such a blessing and the best experience I have had recording at a studio!” Melissa will soon be gearing up to promote the new CD and she is also working on being an artist at the 2008 CMA Music Fest.
